Picobello van ’t Roosakker combines one of the strongest Belgian dam lines with modern sport horse quality. Under the saddle of Swiss rider Jason Smith, this stallion is steadily establishing himself at the highest level. The combination has already been selected several times for the Swiss team and has attracted attention at some of the most prestigious competitions.
During the Rolex Grand Slam of Geneva, the duo jumped to an excellent 5th place in 2025, while in 2024 Picobello achieved his first 5* placing at 1.55m level during the CHI Geneva.
Picobello was bred by Marc Kluskens and descends from the world-renowned Ta Belle van Sombeke dam line, a family that has produced numerous international top horses, including VDL Groep Eureka (1.60m), Jeleena de Muze (1.60m), Glock’s London (1.60m) and Taran de la Pomme (1.60m).
As a modern sport stallion, Picobello stands out for his scope, power and quick reflexes. His qualities were already confirmed early on during the 50-day test in Neustadt (Dosse), where he finished as reserve champion with an impressive score of 9.0 for character, willingness to perform, rideability and scope. With his power, speed and mentality, he possesses all the qualities required for today’s top-level sport.
