"He is the ultimate team player and will work his heart out for his rider. Combine that with his strength and skill at the jumps and he really is a champion at heart and as entertaining in the barn and at shows as he is impressive to watch over the course." - Ariel Grange
There are few others as beautiful and eye catching as Lothlorien's Grafton. Well known at shows for his gorgeous coloring and magnificent, full tail, Grafton also carries a record of continued success and consistency throughout his many years as a high-level show jumper.
Under many different riding styles from Conor Swail, Daniel Coyle, and Hyde Moffatt; Grafton has proven to hold his own in any situation at top venues like Spruce Meadows, RDS Dublin, Ottawa International, WEF and many more at the 1.55m+ levels. Grafton has been used in recent years as a 'finisher' for Lothlorien, coming into specific competitions and competing at the top of his classes throughout Canada and the United States. Boasting a temperament like no other, Grafton is easily a barn favorite with his lovable nature and character not only to handlers, but to any and all animals he comes across.
Grafton's sire, Calvaro Z, is recognized as an Olympic and world champion stallion after an illustrious career under the Whitaker brothers and J. Lansink. Calvaro Z is well known as an exceptional producer and is ranked consistently in the Top 20 in the WBFSH Stallion Rankings year after year. His offspring are known for their strength and drive, both of which Grafton exemplifies as well as exhibiting a winning attitude and positive work ethic.
Grafton's dam, Olympic Champeix, is by 1.60m Selle Francais stallion Vondeen out of Pariade de Pierre (Jalisco B). Olympic Champeix has been a solid producer with two 1.60m offspring and to date eight out of her twelve older offspring have recorded FEI results. Her oldest daughter, Surprise de Blondel (Kassidi) has produced two 1.60m horses, two 1.50m, and one 1.45m with eight out of her ten offspring having recorded FEI results.

Grafton has a small crop of offspring on the ground, the most notable being Dynamix de Belheme, who is currently being ridden at CSI5* level with Steve Guerdat (SUI). Her full brother, Cornetaux de Belheme, has reached 1.50m level while Caramel d'Orchis and Cahita de Blondel are eventing at CCI4*-L and CCI3* level. We look forward to the production and development of Grafton's North American offspring in the coming years!
